Western Coast's Langley branch supports the Foundry project to help young people
March 28, 2022
Our Langley branch presented a $5,000 Infrastructure Grant to Langley Memorial Foundation) for their Foundry project, which helps vulnerable youth.
Foundry Langley helps young people between the ages of 12 and 24 across the Fraser Valley who need a place to voice the overwhelming pressures they’re facing around anxiety, depression, substance use, and sexual, mental, and physical health.
The project will provide young people with practical solutions to their problems in a welcoming place that is free of judgment and gives them the respect and dignity they deserve in their most vulnerable moments.
Terra Scheer, Communications and Stewardship with the foundation said, “We really appreciate you thinking of us for the grant and, as you learned from Christine and myself at the tour of Foundry, you know that this gift will do great things to support for youth in our community.”
Echoing Terra’s sentiments, Heather Scott, Executive Director of the Langley Memorial Foundation said, “Thank you for being among the caring community of people and organizations dedicated to realizing Foundry Langley.”
“The Communities Foundation is proud to be a part of this initiative benefiting so many of the youth in the community,” said Cali Peace, coordinator of the Western Communities Foundation.
