The Challenge:
In the middle of the night, our home suffered significant flooding due to a burst pipe caused by a major spike in city water pressure. This surge was triggered when multiple fire hydrants were shut off simultaneously in response to a nearby fire. While several homes in the area experienced damage, ours was hit particularly hard, with both our in-house pressure regulator and hot water tanks failing under the pressure.
Although the city acknowledged the issue, their exemption clause meant they accepted no financial responsibility.This left us in a difficult position.

If memory serves me right, your company went to great lengths to have the city absorb the deductible cost to no avail.You kept us informed and thus gave us a sense of reassurance when we needed it.

The following outlines my appreciation for the handling of my home insurance claim and, in particular, how your staff worked us through significant water damage situation at our home.
In the midst of this chaos, your team stepped up. From the very beginning, we were treated with professionalism, empathy, and a true sense of care. We both know a company is only as good as its people — and your staff are outstanding ambassadors, not only for Western Coast but for the insurance industry as a whole. This is where Western Coast earned my undying loyalty.
We did end up having to pay the home insurance deductible and for us, as seniors, which was a big financial hit. So be it. But Sabrina took the time to talk with me and listen.
