May 14, 2021. Supporting the Kindred Community Farm Sanctuary near Surrey, British Columbia through our Western Financial Group Communities Foundation, and as their insurance provider, has been our great joy.
This organization inspires us — over 30 animals call the sanctuary home, including horses, cows, goats and one special therapy rooster, Louise. We were excited to previously introduce Louise, our feathered friend who likes nothing more than to snuggle.
Community members can attest that the Kindred Community Farm Sanctuary does tremendous work not only rescuing animals but connecting them with at-risk youth to improve all lives.
We can’t wait for you to meet Keryn Denroche, the sanctuary’s founder and director, as she recently explained her great relationship with our insurance team.
How would you describe your experience with Western Coast?
Having such a gracious and generous connection to a community business is every charity’s dream. Joanne Tonita (who is now branch manager at our Grandview Corners branch) referred me to Ryan Arbuckle to purchase insurance for our charity. My experience working with Ryan has been exceptional. He walked me through our first policy and did his research on the activities at our farm. He is available for questions and advice when I need it.
Why did you choose Western Coast over the competition?
Over the years, I became disappointed with our previous insurance provider because they had no interest in our charity and did not know about our programs. This made me question whether our charity had the best insurance coverage. I lost confidence and trust that we were adequately covered. Kindred Farm switched to Western Coast Insurance because of my connection to Joanne, and their support of our charity.
