Happy 10th at Western Coast!

Tell us about your journey here at Western Coast

Hi, I’m Derek Choy and I have just celebrated my 10-year anniversary at Western Coast Insurance. I work as a Branch Manager at the Coquitlam Branch.

Time flies incredibly fast, and I can’t believe that it has been 10 years already.

I still remember everything from first day when I started at the Richmond Centre Branch. I am so glad and proud to be part of the Western family.

What’s your favorite memory with Western Coast?

My favorite memory with Western would be my first manager’s conference in 2017. I was overwhelmed by the energy of the whole management team in such a positive way. There was so much knowledge to be taken away from the guest speakers and leaders, as there always is.

Needless to say, this kind of positive vibe drives us to strive for excellence constantly. I really enjoy being part of this.

Anything you would like to share?

I treasure every opportunity that this company has offered me in my career advancement. With the support from my leader and within the organization, I am marching on a successful path.

I look forward to working with all the great people in this Western family for years to come.
